My day to day acquaintance with customers who are retired have brought me an amazing experience to learn what life truly is all about when you retire. Although each one of them have their own idea of how they want to retire, they all have a common denominator, they all want to live in a nice environment, with comfortable finances and bottom line, have it the way they want.
We all think we already know everything but it is time and age that makes us realize what we thought we knew before is what we just know now. It is different when you are at a retirement age, whether you like it or not, you know better not to push something you cannot afford as all in your life was planned and set for your retirement, this is why I think "Retirement Is Where Life Truly Begins". And for sure, my customers seem to already know exactly what they want and no matter what my opinion is, they say "This is what I want!" regardless of choosing paint colors or cost, from apple green to whirlpool tubs.
A retiree's point of view, they work so hard for what they can afford today so why not have it their way, and at the end, they are right.
My opinion, you don't have to have what your neighbors have, you can be as happy when you can have what you can afford, these two goes hand in hand "want & afford".
